Octopus will leverage the synchronization technology from Zimbra and Mozy in order to enable enterprise data sharing on- and off-premise. Project Octopus will offer integration with VMware Horizon, VMware View and Project AppBlast.

Octopus can be compared with DropBox, Microsoft Live Mesh and other similar services already available, difference is that data is managed by the companies IT department.
