Beginning this month, virtualization.info reported that VKernel released a new diagnostics tool for VMware called CapacityVIEW. Now VKernel has released a new free tool called StorageVIEW. StorageVIEW provides visibility into the storage components of a VMware environment.
It provides the following features:
- Top five host/datastore paths with the highest latency
- Listing of the associated VMs for these high latency paths
- Throughput information for each VM in the high latency path
