VMware announces updates in Executive Responsibilities

VMware announced an administrative transformation in order to stimulate technology innovation, to boost its focus on customers, and develop operational effectiveness across the organization.
VMware’s president, Carl Eschenbach who joined VMware in June 2002 and acts as the company’s chief operating officer, is taking on an expanded role which includes the Corporate Strategy and Business Development. Aside Eschenbach is going to carry on in leading VMware’s connected customer engagement across Sales, Marketing, Services, Global Customer Operations and VMware’s Global Partner Organization.

EVP, CFO at VMware, Jonathan Chadwick is going to take on an expanded role as chief financial officer and chief operating officer for VMware. Chadwick is going to be working together with Eschenbach on key operational priorities. Furthermore, Chadwick is going to be responsible for operational quality across key business activities including HR, finance, legal, IT, and operations.

In addition to Eschenbach and Chadwich expanded roles, VMware also announced three executive promotions.

Betsy Sutter former VMware’s head of people, has been promoted to corporate senior vice president and chief people officer.

Bill Fathers has been promoted to executive vice president and general manager of the Hybrid Cloud Services Business Unit.

Martin Casado, has been promoted as senior vice president and general manager of the Networking and Security Business Unit.
