On July 22, VMware released the results about its growth for Q2 2014.
VMware, announced a total revenue growth of $1.46 billion, for an increase of 17 percent compared to Q2 2013.
Operating income for the first quarter was $200 million, which means a decrease of 26% from the second quarter of 2013.
The non-GAAP Operating Margin registered an increment of 3% from Q2 2013, with an income of $428 million, which is a reflection of the AirWatch acquisition.
Cash flows were $6.64 billion.
Among the recent VMware Announcements:
- VMware announced the expansion of its hybrid cloud service into Asia-Pacific, through a joint venture with SoftBank in Japan and a partnership with China Telecom to build a hybrid cloud service for China market.
- VMware announced last April the VMware vCloud Hybrid Service – Disaster Recovery, a cloud based disaster recovery (DR) service that leverages vCHS resources.
- Together with SAP, the availability of the SAP HANA platform on VMware was announced to integrate the global data center virtualization strategy.
- VMware Horizon 6 was released as an end user computing suite.
