At the end of last month, VMware announced the Horizon Suite, part of the Horizon suite is VMware’s VDI product view which was rebranded to VMware Horizon View and at that time updated to version 5.2. Yesterday VMware released Feature Pack 1 for Horizon View adding the following functionality:
- Support for accessing View desktops using HTML, by installing the Remote Experience Agent with the HTML Access Agent
- Unity Touch, allowing users to browse between apps and documents in a native mobile user interface without seeing the desktop.
- HTML Access Installer, which configures View Connection Server instances to allow users to select HTML Access to connect to desktops
