Yesterday VMware announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2012.
Total revenue for the Q2 was $1.12 billion, an increase of 22% compared to Q2 2011 and 7% from Q1 2012.
Looking at the financials we can see how the growing trend of license revenue and software maintenance still holds with respectively 11% and 34% growths.
Closes the services revenue the professional services, up to 23% from Q2 2011.
We are very pleased with our second quarter results. Despite the tough market conditions, we achieved record quarterly results in total revenue, license revenue, and non-GAAP operating income. Third quarter 2012 revenues are expected to be in the range of $1.11 and $1.15 billion. Annual 2012 revenues are expected to be in the range of $4.540 and $4.635 billion, an increase of 20.5% to 23.0% from 2011. Annual license revenues are expected to grow between 11% and 15%.
