On February 25, Parallels announced that it has acquired 2X Software. 2X Software is a Maltese company, with offices in the United States, Germany, UK, Australia and of course Malta, founded 2005, which provides application virtualization, remote application delivery and mobile device management solutions. 2X Software develops 2X Remote Application Server (2X RAS) which delivers virtual desktops and Windows applications hosted on hypervisors to any remote mobile or desktop device, allowing administrators to publish applications and virtual desktops from an unique platform. Parallels acquisition of 2X Software aims to improve its suite of cross-platform solutions, which will be now complemented by 2X Software’s remote application publishing and mobile device management.
