We talked several time about HyTrust, based in Moutain View CA and provider of Cloud Security Automation (CSA) solutions.
In august they raised $18.5M in Series C funding from Intel Capital and Fortinet, among others and now they have announced the acquisition of HighCloud Security well known for its encryption and key management services.
This acquisition will lead to a new commercial offering that will combine the solutions provided from both companies (that in some cases overlap, for example both companies offer solutions for PCI-DSS and HIPAA compliance) in order to deliver more comprehensive services focused on security, compliance and data privacy topics.
