As announced less than a couple of weeks ago by Brad Anderson, VP for Windows Server and System Center with a blog post, Microsoft today, August 27, announced in a blog spot the released to manufacturing of Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows 8.1 client.
Once released, the product will be including new features for virtualization, storage, networking, management, access and information protection, this release will not allow users to have access to software after the RTM through subscriptions to MSDN or TechNet, Microsoft decided to complete the final validation phase before distributing the release which apparently will be on October 18, 2013.
On the same day of the release of Windows Server 2012 R2, it will be possible to download also System Center 2012 R2 with the latest update to Windows Intune.
