Midokura expands OpenStack Team with Takashi Yamamoto

Network virtualization is one of the hot topics within the OpenStack community. Last week japanese startup Midokura focused on network virtualization announced the assignment of Takashi Yamamoto as OpenStack engineer.

Yamamoto is an expert of Linux kernel, virtualization and has worked on various open source software projects in the past. He joined the OpenStack Neutron core reviewer team after having worked as a cloud infrastructure expert at VA Linux Systems Japan where he was in charge of developing the OFAgent which uses the open source component-based SDN framework for implementation Ryu.

Midokura commitment to OpenStack is again reassured with Yamamoto as he is going to focused on helping outline networking requirements and working on the reference implementation for OpenStack Neutron project. He will also collaborate on the integration of the open source version of Midokura’s network virtualization technology MidoNet.
