VMware has released a paper titled:”What’s new in VMware Virtual SAN (VSAN)“. The paper which contains 15 pages explains the new storage services feature in vSphere which utilizes the local disks on vSphere hosts which VMware calls Virtual SAN (VSAN). VMware introduced this experimental feature in vSphere 5.5. which was released in September this year
