VMware has released version 4.6.2. of its application virtualization solution ThinApp. Version 4.6.1. is the follow up of version 4.6.1. which was released in February this year. This version is considered a maintenance release providing mainly bug fixes and application compatibility improvements.
There are also some new features in this release, fully detailed in the release notes:
- DDE Message Isolation
- Improved Status Bar
- Up to 30% faster startup times
- Improvements to Thinreg providing recursive directory support, the ability to exclude files or directories, and the ability to specify command-line arguments via a text file.
- Improvements to ThinDirect , allowing to specify URLs in blacklist format and the ability to automatically close browser tabs/windows when a redirection occurs.
