VMTurbo has announced that Louis Shipley will join the company as President and CEO. Besides that Shipley will join the board of directors, and will replace founder and current President and CEO Shmuel Kliger. Kliger will focus on product and technology strategy and strategic partnerships, the company announced.
Shipley comes from Citrix, where he was VP & GM for the Datacenter and Cloud Division, which means that we have yet another high executive leaving Citrix.
In May this year, Harry Labana left Citrix to become CTO of AppSense, followed in June by Simon Crosby, a former CTO and Simon Pratt a former VP which announced to leave Citrix to start a new company called Bromium. virtualization.info already described the implications of Citrix loosing these executives shortly after Crosby and Pratt leaving Citrix, these news makes the problem for Citrix even greater.
