Pano Logic has announced the release of version 4.5 of its Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) platform Pano System. This version is the follow-up of version 4 which was released in January this year, extending support to Citrix XenDesktop 5 which was released in December last year and providing support for Windows 7 64 bit.
Pano offers a complete remote VDI solution which consists of a software agent which resides in the guest Operating System called Pano Direct Service, a connection broker called Manager and a Keyboard/Video/Mouse (KVM) over IP hardware box, called Pano Zero Client. Communication between the Pano Zero Client and the connection broker leverages a bus extension protocol called Pano Direct.
