Hyper-V Commander is designed to provide management for Microsoft Hyper-V Server and Windows Server 2008 core editions. It will work on the full Windows Server versions as well though.
Hyper-V commander is able to work in conjunction with Virtual Firewall for Hyper-V, which was released in July last year.
The product has the following features:
- Hyper-V Management –allows managing virtual machines, virtual hard disks and networks on both local and remote Hyper-V hosts. Hyper-V Commander can be used to manage Hyper-V on Windows 2008 R2 Core and Hyper-V Sever installations without Microsoft Hyper-V Manager or System Center Virtual Machine Manager.
- Network Management – Provides comprehensive virtual network management. Can be used to troubleshoot and fix network connections and related problems that cannot be fixed via remote management. Allows reviewing and editing virtual network ports used by the virtual network interfaces and guests. It also allows for management of remote hosts which are no member of the domain.
The product will be priced for $99.00 per host.
