Virtual Computer hires new SVP of Worldwide Sales

Virtual Computers has hired John Glendenning as its new Senior Vice President(SVP) of Worldwide Sales, PRWeb reports. Glendenning comes from Citrix where he was VP Worlwide OEM Sales and Vice President EMEA, Server Virtualization for allmost 2 1/2 years. Before that he was Vice President Worldwide Sales at XenSource, which was acquired by Citrix in October 2007.

Glendenning started his career at Compaq as Senior Account Manager Finance and after that already worked for Citrix in the timeframe 1997 – 2003 where he was Managing Director Embedded Systems, afterwards he also worked for Hal Knowledgde Solutions as VP Channels and Alliances and Platform Computing as Sales Director, Northern Europe and EMEA Channels.

It’s quite interesting to see that another Citrix executive is joining a company in which Citrix invested, just like Frank Artale who joined the Open Kernel Labs Board of Directors. In this case, Citrix invested in Virtual Computer in the beginning of 2009.
