virtualization.info received an exclusive preview of a new vizioncore product, called esxMigrator, which will be able to simplify and speed-up migration from an ESX Server 2.x to the new VMware Infrastructure 3.
The product will sport following main features:
- Minimize downtime during migration process from 2.X to 3.0 to as little as 60 seconds
- Leverages core technologies from existing vizioncore offerings
- Automates full migration process based on VMware recommendations
- Migrated virtual machine is fully VI3 compliant per VMware’s best practices
- Schedule final cutover for migration process
- Source virtual machine remains 100% consistent and unmodified during migration/conversion
The product is expected to be launched later this month.
