Lenovo closes acquisition of IBM’s x86 Server Business

While the fact that Lenovo would take over the x86 Server Business line from IBM isn’t new, today Lenovo announced that a definitive agreement has been made effective October 1st. Lenovo is acquiring System x, BladeCenter and Flex System blade servers and switches, x86-based Flex integrated systems, NeXtScale and iDataPlex servers and associated software, blade networking and maintenance operations.
