Release: Veeam Backup & Replication 6.5 cloud edition

Veeam yesterday announced the release of a cloud edition of its Backup & Replication product version 6.5. This edition of the software allows customers to make an offsite backup to a public cloud storage provider and will be provided in an Standard Cloud and Enterprise Cloud version. If you have less than 6 sockets, Veaam also provides a Essentials Cloud Edition. The product supports both the VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V hypervisors.


The product features AES 256-bit Encryption, Bandwidth scheduling, Compression and Job Notifications. It also provides Cloud cost estimation providing limits by GB or dollar.

Veeam Backup & Replication cloud edition supports 15 different public storage clouds including, Microsoft Azure, Amazon S3, Amazon Glacier, Rackspace and HP Cloud.
